To Highest “Japan Heritage” !

Welcome to “Iyashi” “Nagomi” secret spot and sightseeing in countryside of Japan !

Hi ! How have you been ?

Here in Japan, we enjoy spending ” Golden week ” (5-9 consecutive holidays)

with my family, relatives, and friends !

Especially around this time of the year, I like to climb Mt.Ichifusa which is our holy

mountain in this area.

Great scenery, fantastic atmosphere, moderate exercise makes me feel better !

The start point is here.

A ” Torii “gate.

This is a gateway which means a border of sacred place from this world.

Now is the time to embark on a great adventure !

Irregular steep staircase… It’s slippy.

But it’s just beginning.

What’s this ?

How tall is this HUGE tree ? 40m high ?

The name is ” Ichifusa ceder wood ” which is more than 800 years old !

This is the ” twins tree ”

How curious !  Have you ever seen this kind of style trees ?

Let’s across a stream

listening pleasant stream sounds…

Keep walking, walking, walking.

A hole ?  A nest of squirrels or something ?

That’s amazing and wondering !

Please someone tells me what it is.

In the meantime, I can see a object lies down over there.

A big tree is dead !

What happened ?  Uproot a tree by a storm or whirlwind ?

Only this tree ?   … I got it !

A wild boar attacked it.      Unbelievable !

I’m little confusing but final steps come in sight.

I go up step by step very carefully.

And finally I managed to reach ” Ichifusa-shrine ”

Of course, this is a ” Japan Heritage “, which locates highest place in this kuma county.

I made it !

If you were me, what will you pray to God ?
